Jenna the Ford intern goes inside a wind tunnel to meet with Ford Wind Noise Designer/Engineer Adam Carlson to learn how wind and a vehicle’s design can influence interior quietness. Adam Carlson is what’s known in the recruiting world as a “Purple Squirrel” — one that brings a rare mix of skills to the company. Adam is the first Ford employee to work as liaison between the wind noise engineering and design teams, within the department of interior quietness. He’s also the first student to earn dual degrees in mechanical engineering and industrial design.
