One of the main differences between having a Republican president and having a Democratic president is the amount of money allotted to military and security funds.

Democrats believe in compromise and peaceful solutions which basically equals America’s taxpayer money going to foreign accounts in a lame attempt to somehow buy peace.

Republicans believe in presenting a strong front that focuses on the American people and defending our shores from home base. Now that Trump is in office the military is looking at an overall increase in funding and activity.

Via World News Politics:

According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump is looking for a 10% boost in military spending. Trump also wants offsetting cuts from nondefense agencies.

The budget proposal calls for a $54 billion increase in defense funding with offsetting funding cuts for nondefense agencies. Nondefense agencies likely to get hit include foreign-aid funding. This is in keeping with Trump’s desire for our allies to start paying their fair share.

Trump is not planning on using more money, instead, he plans on relocating funds and decreasing revenue for organizations Obama put into place that support foreigners. Trump will be redirecting said funds back into the American taxpayers pocket where it belongs.
