The View Just Called Out President Trump for Paying Tribute to Grieving Widow of Fallen Navy SEAL, WOW.

Toward the end of his speech to Congress Tuesday, Trump paused to pay tribute to a Navy SEAL’s widow, who was sitting next Ivanka Trump during the event.

If you missed it, here is the tribute and extensive applause from the audience below. There is no doubt the most powerful moment of the night:

According to reports:

Owens, a member of the military’s elite SEAL Team 6, was killed in late January after his unit came under intense fire during an assault on a fortified terrorist compound in Yemen. The Pentagon said the SEALs killed at least 14 militants from al-Qaeda’s Yemeni affiliate, but also acknowledged that at least 25 civilians — including the 8-year-old daughter of a militant who had been killed by a US drone years earlier — were killed in the fighting.

The deaths, and the fact that the SEALs didn’t kill or capture the al-Qaeda leaders they were targeting, prompted immediate questions about why Trump had greenlit the operation, and about whether the intelligence gathered at the scene was worth the high human and financial cost (a $70 million US aircraft was also destroyed during the mission).

Trump stated during the speech:

“Ryan died as he lived: a warrior, and a hero — battling against terrorism and securing our nation,” Trump said as Carryn Owens began to cry. “I just spoke to Gen. Mattis, who reconfirmed that, and I quote, ‘Ryan was a part of a highly successful raid that generated large amounts of vital intelligence that will lead to many more victories in the future against our enemies.’”

But the failed raid in Yemen had previously set off a controversial political firestorm.

McCain Blasted President Trump on NBC News in early February.

“When you lose a $75 million airplane and, more importantly, an American life is lost … I don’t believe you can call it a success.”

But McCain isn’t the only one to fan the flame of issue. The women on ‘The View’ recently have made it their personal mission to attack our President for the paid tribute during his historic speech to Congress.

Whoopi Goldberg asked:

“That mission could not have happened without presidential approval which is why Obama never gave the go-ahead, because he felt it wasn’t good enough to send our people in. Was this a tribute or was this damage control?”

Many other libs have chimed into the accusation of Carryn Owens being a “prop” of the administration. But what went unmentioned, of course, was the fact that the president asked permission the widow to mention her late husband’s contributions to the security of the country before the address, and she gladly accepted.

Unfortunately, the idiots of ‘The View’ then mocked Carryn for allowing herself to be exploited.

Sunny Hostin, a senior correspondent for ABC dropped in on the issue:

“I thought that was so exploitative. I thought he exploited that widow. It was so hurtful to me. We know that U.S. military officials have said to the press that Obama didn’t give the green light because he felt that the mission would mark a significant escalation in Yemen and that President Trump, without the intel, without the appropriate ground support, approved this at dinner, not the Situation Room, and was tweeting.

So when I look at that, I think, ‘My god, how do you exploit the woman who is grieving over the loss of her husband, the father of her children, when you sent him there without the appropriate ground support?’ That was wrong. That was wrong!”

The crowd burst into applause at Hostin’s remark, and even conservative host Jedediah Bila piled on:

“Also, the intelligence they got, it’s been very heavily disputed whether the intelligence they got, was even helpful at all. I mean, he was saying there was actionable intelligence other people are saying they really didn’t get anything out of it. But, the truth is for me, it’s very simple. When you’re the commander-in-chief, the buck stops with you… I don’t care where you involve people, you are responsible. Your generals, everyone reports to you, ultimately.

So, what he should have said is: This is my fault. I owe you an apology.”

Joy Behar followed up with a claim that Trump could have blamed it on Hillary Clinton, s’uch as the 13-hour terrorist raid that killed four Americans without a hostage rescue’, which Mrs. Clinton ultimately took responsibility for.

Here is the clip:

Apparently in today’s political climate, a president honoring a fallen soldier cannot just be a president honoring a fallen soldier…

That is unfortunate.

The POTUS wasn’t exploiting this widow or her family. He simply asked her if he could mention him in his speech and she gladly agreed. How can u lay this at Trump’s doorstep when he has Generals, Intelligence that are suppose to be on top of everything that the Military gets approval to carry through? Trump isn’t out there he is in a conference with these experts and relies on the information that they tell him before he gives the order to proceed. Of course the buck stops with him because he carry’s the weight of our country on his shoulders and by the way Hillary has never admitted to her wrong doing with Benghazi she knew damn good and well those men were begging for help and wanted out and she did nothing! She has plenty of blood on her hands and deaths. When u are in the service u take an oath to carry out any mission that u r ordered to do and every brave service man and woman knows this and does it and knows the risk. U can order a mission and expect it to go well and something could and can go wrong hindsight is only 50/50. No Military willing sends in our men and women without carefully taking everything in to consideration and unfortunately things do go wrong. If it were not for Trump the View would have nothing to talk about but then again what can u expect from liberals that r also dumb witted?

How does our country manage to operate without these women telling us what to do every second of every day? They are such opinionated, ungrateful, self-important bullies! And people watch their dibble every day.
