Teacher Is FIRED After Posting Comments On FACEBOOK About Michelle Obama

VIA| Social media is becoming a problem for more and more professionals these days, as employers can take just one look at something you post and decide that you should be terminated for saying something with which they don’t agree.

A lot of people will tell you that if you have an off-line job, you shouldn’t add your co-workers to your social media accounts. I would be inclined to agree, and would like to add that you should never, EVER post anything publicly that you think might have a chance to get you fired.

Like, I don’t know, calling the First Lady a gorilla on Facebook.

I can’t say I feel bad for this lady.

Jane Wood Allen worked at Chestatee Elementary in Gainesville, Georgia when she decided to post her opinion of First Lady Michelle Obama. Her comments were captured via screenshot by another Facebook user.

Following public outcry, Jane Wood Allen was fired with this explanation given on the school’s Facebook account.

There will undoubtedly be someone somewhere offended by this story because they believe that firing this woman is a violation of her First Amendment rights, which is ridiculous.

Just to be clear, the First Amendment protects you from the federal government, not from being fired for being an idiot on social media. If you are going to say something stupid like that, you’d do well to make sure that it’s a private status or better yet, keep it in your head.

At this point in our technological evolution, it should be well known that what you post online will stay there forever, and can and often does make it back to your employer or place of business. If you just can’t help yourself, and you need to post dumb comments or you’ll explode, make a secret group and only add people you trust.

Remember kids: “Think Twice, Post Once.”

Apparently you are the idiots. You talk of freedom of speech out the right side of your mouth and talk about discrimination racism and discrimination out the left side of your mouth. Your hiss misrepresenting the facts demonstrate your evil intent is reverse racism and discrimination. Your lie is evident in that all children like having it both ways.

If she had bad mouthed Trump, she would have been fine. Such a double standard.
