New information on the Elizabeth Thomas kidnapping case may lead to Mexico.

15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas went missing almost two weeks ago and is alleged to be with her Health Teacher whom which she had a sexual relationship with according to an eyewitness from other students. Her teacher, Tad Cummins, was terminated from the position at the school after the alleged relationship came to light.

It’s believed that Cummins has taken Thomas to Mexico under the false pretense of being a missionary spreading the word of Christianity.

Since Thomas has gone missing, investigators involved in the case have received over 1,100 tips. Not one of them has led to a confirmed sighting so far. According to AL.com, authorities are still looking into 160 of those tips.

During a press conference on the morning of March 28, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokesperson Josh DeVine told the media that there is a possibility that Cummins took Thomas to Mexico.

The idea that he may have used this as a “cover” is heavily based on Cummins’s publicly professed religious beliefs and his extensive knowledge of the Bible.

A look at the former teacher’s social media accounts shows he seemingly lived life as a God-fearing Christian.

He describes himself in his Twitter bio as:

“Jesus freak/child of The King, husband, father, grandfather, high-school teacher, clinician, drummer, audio tech, jeep owner, singer/songwriter, warrior-poet.”
