Restaurant Owner Hires Homeless Felon—Then She Sees What He Does With His Food the 1st Day…

When a homeless man walked into Cesia Abigail Baires’ restaurant asking for money, she didn’t give him the typical response.

She looked at him and said, “Why don’t you have a job? You know nothing is given to me for free right?”

He replied, “Well, I have a lot of felonies and no one wants to hire me for that, so now I had to turn myself to the streets and get money the only way I know, stealing and asking for money.”

“He told me about his situation. He said he got felonies, and nobody wants to hire him. Especially around this area if you look homeless they won’t even let you in,” said Baires. “To me that’s unacceptable.”

Seeing as she was short-staffed that day, Cesia decided she would give the man a shot working as a dishwasher in her Minneapolis cafe. With wide eyes and a big smile, he replied that he’d do anything for some food.

But as badly as this man longed for his next meal, she was stunned when she saw what he did with the food she gave him.

“He only ate half of it, then one of his lady friends walked by and he wrapped half of his food and ran to the door and gave the food to her,” said Baires. “I said, ‘Marcus do you know the lady over there?’ and he said ‘No, but I know that she is hungry so I gave her my food.’”
