GAME CHANGER: Ben Carson Reveals HIS MAJOR Role That President Trump Wants Him to Play

Dr. Ben Carson appeared on Fox News’ “Your World with Neil Cavuto” on Tuesday and confirmed that one of the positions President-elect Donald Trump offered him was to head up the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

“I would say that was one of the offers that is on the table,” Carson confirmed, according to The Hill.

“You know, there have been so many promises made over the last several decades and nothing has been, so it certainly is something that has been a long-term interest of mine and I’ll be thinking and praying about it seriously over the holiday,” the neurosurgeon and former Republican presidential candidate continued.

Trump tweeted about the offer earlier on Tuesday:

The Hill reported:

Armstrong Williams, Carson’s close friend and business adviser, told The Hill on Tuesday that the HUD position is inline with what Carson would like to be doing.

“One thing for sure – Dr. Carson cares greatly about the inner cities and what has happened to minorities across the country and there is no better position within the administration to help revitalize the inner cities,” Williams said. “There is no better position within administration where he could make a difference.”

Carson grew out of poverty in Detroit to become one of the world’s most accomplished brain surgeons. He endorsed Trump after dropping out of the GOP primary and became a close ally and surrogate of the businessman.

Still, Carson has so far expressed disinterest in working in the federal government. He is actively involved in several outside groups, like My Faith Votes, which seeks to energize Christians in the political process.

Last Week, Williams told The Hill: “Dr. Carson feels he has no government experience, he’s never run a federal agency. The last thing he would want to do was take a position that could cripple the presidency.”

The role at HUD seems to be something different for Carson and a role that he will seriously consider. Williams said, “He’s honored the president is considering him for one [of] the Cabinet posts and will give it serious consideration.”

We’ll see if Carson accepts the position, but it is clearly something that he is passionate about. If his stellar resume is any indication, he could be excellent at the job and Trump certainly has a great deal of faith in him.

God bless Carson as he decides on this and, God willing, if he feels called to the role then may God direct him, as well as Trump and everyone else in his White House, as there’s a lot to be done and they will surely need all the prayers and help they can get.
