Forget Calling the Exterminator! Get Rid of Ants With This Simple, Inexpensive Trick

Spring is in the air and you know what that means: bugs.

Every year when the snow melts and the flowers begin to bloom we see the return of all the creepy crawlers who lay dormant during the winter months. One of these pesky critters comes in the form of an ant. O and I’m not talking about the big ones (although this would work on them as well) I’m talking about the little sugar ants that show up in the kitchen and bathroom forming little lines and paths to easily come in and out of your home.

Of course the store is full of different types of ant killer but these can be pricy and not safe around children and animals. After doing a little research the answer finally came. Borax. Borax is an ingredient found in most ant killers but works beautifully all by itself. This natural safe product can be found at your local supermarket for an affordable price.

Via Tip Hero:

1 cup of warm water
1/2 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of Borax

All you have to do is soak the Borax mixture up with cotton balls, and then place the cotton balls near any trails the ants have established in your home. This is most likely by any entrances to your home; windows, doors, or even cracks in the wall.
