Criminal gangs and crime will never go away. As long as humans live in communal groups, crime and gangs will be a blemish on society, the inevitable result of social inequality and a lack of opportunity. Some 33,000 violent street gangs, motorcycle gangs and prison gangs – with about 1.4 million members -are criminally active in the United States alone.

Many are sophisticated and well organised, others are simply motley collections of bored people keen to raise hell. All of them can be dangerous for bystanders to encounter.

They’ve become a fact of life in many neighbourhoods as people struggle to live under the threat of violence, but we often only hear about the turf wars between various vying factions in the aftermath of some bloody melee.

Now however, CCTV footage has actually caught what appears to be two gangs fighting each other in broad daylight; a chilling display of strength that has left local residents shocked and terrified. A sudden car crash in Bradford, England became the stage for a brutal battle between gang members.

In a shocking two-minute clip, two rival gangs can be seen attacking each other with baseball bats. The video comes from the town of Bradford in West Yorkshire, England.

A black Range Rover can be seen smashing into silver a Volkswagen from the side after the latter vehicle pulled out of a junction. It was obvious that the collision had been intentional and mere moments later numerous individuals emerged from the cars and began an assault. One man can be seen carrying a gun while others are wielding various blunt instruments.

Bradford has been the scene of some high-profile crimes, such as the shooting of Bradford PC Sharon Beshenivsky while responding to a burglary in 2005. It was also the site of the 2001 Bradford race riots when ethnic minorities and the city’s white majority clashed, stoked respectively by the National Front and Anti-Nazi League. There were 297 arrests; 187 people charged with rioting, 45 with violent disorder leading to 200 jail sentences totalling 604 years.

Since being uploaded to Facebook group “Bradford BFD Boyz”, the clip above has been viewed more than 71,000 times. But as scary as these scenes are, it’s nothing compared to the gang culture that exists in other countries.

But the UK bans guns how can one of them have one. What a joke. In the late 90s we used to donate our used vests to the police in the UK. If there were no guns what did they need them for?
