Connecticut Governor Goes Off the Rails, Tells Cops Not to Obey Trump’s Immigration Order

on

President Trump’s immigration ban has been met with extreme prejudice from the Democratic Party.

One such Democrat is Connecticut governor Danel Malloy who has taken this prejudice to a whole new level. Not only is he refusing to obey the executive order he has now given law enforcement instructions to do the same.

According to Mr Malloy a federal immigration detainer is not a warrant and therefore his state has the right to refuse aid to ICE regarding illegals. Apparently the crime of being an illegal alien is in his opinion a non punishable offense.

Via The Hill:

Connecticut’s Democratic governor is telling state and local law enforcement they do not have to comply with federal requests to detain residents who are in the country illegally, a day after the Trump administration detailed plans that could lead to millions of deportations.

In a memo to state law enforcement and school district officials Wednesday, Gov. Dannel Malloy (D) said Connecticut officials should not detain anyone solely on the basis of their immigration status. Federal immigration detainer requests do not constitute orders or warrants, Malloy’s memo says.

Law enforcement officials should not give federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers access to individuals in state or local jails, Malloy’s office added.

According to IJR, Earlier this month, Malloy tweeted in support of the 9th Circut Court’s ruling on Trump’s temporary travel ban:

The Ninth Circuit has made it clear that there are numerous constitutional and procedural issues raised by the rushed executive order. -DM

Thank God this man doesn’t run the country because if he did the whole country would become a third world nation.
