**ALERT**: 100,000+ U.S. Navy Sailors Just Had Their Private Info HACKED… THIS IS WHAT WE KNOW!

Last month hackers broke into the laptop of a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services employee who was doing work for the U.S. Navy via an HP-Navy contract. During this security breach the hackers stole personal information, including the social security numbers, of over 130,000 current and former U.S. Navy sailors.

While is is somewhat comforting to hear a Navy official state that, “at this stage of the investigation, there is no evidence to suggest misuse of the information that was compromised,” it is disturbing to know that over the last 8 years, Obama has not made our military a top priority. Had he made the military a priority perhaps this breach would never have happened.

The incident, announced to the public on November 23 by Vice Admiral Robert Burke, Chief of Naval Personnel, is the latest in a series of major government cybersecurity breaches that have increased concerns about the quality of government computer systems and their ability to keep information secure. According to Burke, the Navy is in the early stages of investigating and “working quickly to identify and take care of those affected by this breach.”

A recent report on revealed that, “The U.S. Defense Department is still using — after several decades — 8-inch floppy disks in a computer system that coordinates the operational functions of the nation’s nuclear forces.” The jaw-dropping report then goes on to explain, “The department’s outdated ‘Strategic Automated Command and Control System’ is one of the 10 oldest information technology investments… the floppy drives are scheduled to be replaced with Secure Digital devices by the end of 2017.”

Floppy drives? What? Seriously? Wait… Obama had enough money to go on multiple vacations while in office, and his wife had money for an endless array of couture dresses, but our country’s nuclear program is stored on floppy drives?

Okay. We are the richest nation on earth. Obama, get your priorities straight and give our men and women in uniform the best equipment and weaponry money can buy. This will allow them to most effectively protect us, and will allow us to assure them that their personal information will never fall into the wrong hands!
