Dad Says Son in Coma Isn’t the Boy He Remembers—1 Yr Later, He Catches THIS on Tape at the Hospital

14-year-old Blake Hyland was at gymnastics practice when 1 final flip changed his life forever. He missed the foam pit, cracked open his skull on the concrete, and landed in a coma that left him with a 50/50 chance of survival.

The doctors’ outlook was grim, and they told Blake’s parents that if their son even survived, he would probably never walk again. That’s when Blake’s father grabbed his wife’s hand, looked the doctors square in the eye and said, “We appreciate your diagnosis, but our God is greater than that, and our son will walk out of this hospital one day.”

Five weeks after the accident, Blake woke up from his coma, and he made progress by leaps and bounds from day one. He was so positive, it was baffling. It was like he was a brand new kid.

“Where Blake is at is not common,” said his dad. “It’s a true miracle. God did intervene that day. He intervened in such a great way that our son isn’t the same child that we remembered before. He’s better.”dad

One year after the tragic accident, Blake’s proud father captured the moment on camera that they had all been waiting for. His boy walked out of that hospital, just like he said he would.

“The power of prayer is the strongest healing thing that’s out there,” said Blake. “I know that God’s always by my side. With all the people that are praying behind me, I know that I can do anything.”

When Blake was asked if he would go back and change or erase the day of the accident, he said he wouldn’t change a thing. He knows that this challenge came into his life for a reason to make him stronger and to make him a living testament of faith to others. Despite his physical limitations, he only sees the glass half full and says he’s never had a single bad day.

What a stunning testimony of perseverance, positivity and the power of prayer. Help Blake’s story continue to be a blessing to others by sharing his faith-filled journey with your friends!

Not in any gods. In THE one only true living GOD of the Bible! He loved us so much that He came to earth as a man, lived a perfect life, and took our sins upon Himself, in order to pay the ultimate price for us, in order that we might live forever with Him.

It’s not faith in gods, it’s faith in the One True God. It’s not a false hope, it’s the only Hope.

Keep faith in what? Anthony? Faith in earthly things leaves one vulnerable to the inherent limits and failings of all earthly things. Faith in ones self is necessary but finite. Faith in God-Who-is-infinite is essential!

I wonder who you’ll call on when you’re on your death bed?

What hope and faith can you have if you don’t believe in God? God is our hope and salvation!

I’m with you 100%, Melissa. I was given a zero chance of survival in 2008. I had MRSA (look it up–it’s everywhere!) The MRSA caused several strokes. I was blind in both eyes. Each eye had an infectious disease (two different diseases!) It also caused endocarditis, which is an infection of the inside of your heart. The mitral valve in my heart was totally destroyed. Then I got sepsis. (That is when your blood is poisoned due to too many antibiotics.) The doctors gave up and said there was nothing they could do to save me. I had been in a coma for 19 days. I heard people talking, but I couldn’t respond. I knew I was dying and I prayed to God to take me or save me. I finally woke up, I could see again, but I couldn’t talk. Doctors ordered blood tests and there was no MRSA in my blood. They were shocked and told my family they couldn’t explain what was happening. Three days of “clean” blood and I went thru open heart surgery to get an artificial valve put in my heart. I know God is there, and I know He is the One who saved me…and you!
